This tropical, colonial-style hotel, located between historic Vinos and Garachico, is surrounded by 60 hectares of banana plantations, running right down to the Atlantic Ocean.
El Patio is set around a courtyard filled with palms and 100-year-old Drago trees. It is surrounded by lush gardens and fountains, creating a unique, charming atmosphere in this area of north-west Tenerife. These gardens lead down to the property’s own small private beach.

Hotel informationThe hotel building has been in the family since the 16th century and has maintained the feel of a stately home. It is full of history and family heirlooms that have survived to the present day. Also part of the property is El Patio II, an old house where the plantation workers used to live. The 2 buildings are connected by a number of roads running between the bananas groves.

The hotel dining room looks out over the banana plantation. Here you can enjoy a natural, healthy breakfast. On certain days the restaurant serves typical local dishes for dinner, accompanied by fine wines from the area.

The hotel is surrounded by 60 hectare banana tree plantation where you can take walks following paths and there is a small beach within the property.
The hotel organizes activities like hiking, diving or bicycle or canoe excursions (more information in the shop). 15 minutes away from the hotel you will find Buenavista golf course, designed by Severiano Ballesteros, with 18 holes and par 72.
The same distance away you will find a sports centre with a swimming pool, gym, sauna, Turkish bath and physiotherapy.
Horse rides or a descent through the Masca ravine can also be organized for you.

From Aeropuerto Sur Reina Sofia:
- Take the motorway towards Guía de Isora and continue on the road towards Santiago del Teide-Icod de los Vinos.
The hotel is situated 3 km from Icod de los Vinos, towards Garachico.
From Aeropuerto Tenerife Norte:
- Take the motorway towards Puerto de Cruz and continue on the main road towards Icod de los Vinos.
Please note: on the road to Icod de los Vinos, towards Garachico, there is a Bar Restaurant, “El Gincho”, to the right of this bar there is a driveway that leads to the hotel.
